Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth was acquired by the Metro Shopping Fund, the joint-venture with Land Securities PLC, in August 2005 and provided 630,000 sq ft of prime retail and leisure space
- The wide-ranging offer included; Waitrose, Office, Gap, Topshop, Next, H&M and Primark; restaurants including Wagamama, Starbucks, Prezzo, Eds and Nando’s; a 14 screen Cineworld cinema and a Virgin Active Health Club.
- The centre also included 1,180 adjoining multi-storey car parking spaces.
- During ownership, Southside underwent significant capital investment, which saw the external appearance of the shopping centre transformed by redevelopment. The extensive redevelopment provided modern retail and restaurant units, which included the addition of an 82,000 sq ft department store pre-let to Debenhams and eight further new retail units, which opened in October 2015.
Southside Shopping Centre was sold in April 2017.
