Delancey Real Estate raises over £10,000 for Supporting Wounded Veterans, a charity dedicated to aiding former members of HM forces
London, 7th April 2025
- Delancey Real Estate has supported Supporting Wounded Veterans (SWV), a charity dedicated to aiding members of HM Forces who have been medically discharged or developed medical issues since leaving the service.
- Established in 2012, SWV offers comprehensive support to veterans, many of whom suffer from PTSD or have lost limbs in war. The charity has an impressive 90% success rate in finding meaningful occupation, training, or employment for its veterans.
- Delancey Real Estate raised over £10,000 for the charity ahead of participating in their Ski-Habilitation week in March 2025.
Delancey Real Estate signed on to participate in the SWV Winter Challenge, which runs concurrently with the SWV Veteran Ski-Habilitation Week.
Each year, a group of 25 veterans are brought to Klosters, Switzerland, where they are taught to ski regardless of their injuries. Onsite professionals, including adaptive ski instructors and a full medical team, support the veterans as they face both mental and physical challenges on and off the slopes.
In March 2025, Delancey team members Jon Quinlan, Finance Director; Christina Rehnberg, ESG Director; and Marcus Webb, Investment Associate, joined the veterans, taking on challenges to raise further funds for the charity. Their efforts contributed to Delancey raising over £10,000 to support SWV’s vital work in helping veterans live full and healthy lives.
Jon Quinlan, Finance Director said: It was eye-opening to learn of the challenges so many are faced with after they are medically discharged. Seeing the work SWV do and the transformation of the veterans throughout the week was remarkable.
Johnny Scott Barber, Head of Corporate Relations, Supporting Wounded Veterans said: From our Carol Concert to our Veteran Ski-Habilitation Week, your team have thrown themselves into supporting us. SWV really can’t thank you enough. Your enthusiasm is infectious!
