The event is free to attend and will welcome a range of local, London-wide and national employers which will be exhibiting on the day and will be on hand to support individuals looking for new roles or apprenticeship opportunities in a range of sectors. Employers that will be attending include:

  • Just IT
  • Prefort Consult (cyber security training programmes)
  • Multiplex
  • Drama Studio London
  • The Social Switch (youth education and employability programme)

Organised by the Elephant and Castle Town Centre Team, the event is part of its commitment to creating real opportunities for the local community to thrive and grow, with support from Southwark Councillor Naima Ali.

The Town Centre team is thrilled to be working with Southwark Council and local businesses to highlight the range of opportunities and support both employers and young people in Elephant and Castle and throughout the borough.

Diana Barranco, Community Director, Elephant and Castle Town Centre said: “The Careers Fair will bring together a variety of local and national businesses to highlight the number of opportunities available. We encourage everyone in the area who is looking for an apprenticeship, a new role, or to go into further education to come along and see what’s on offer!

“We’re delighted to be working with our local councillor on this free event and look forward to welcoming members of the local community.”

Cllr Naima Ali, Councillor for the North Walworth Ward said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to find out more about a range of career and education opportunities, both in the borough and beyond. We’ve worked with our partners to create an inspiring line up at the Careers Fair, with representatives from a variety of employers and educational and training establishments to provide advice and guidance on an array of opportunities.

“We’re also encouraging local job-seekers, or people who are looking into a career change, to visit the careers fair and find out about the opportunities on offer”.
